Senior Health Checks

A senior health check is a way of practising true ‘preventative health medicine’. It makes sense to be pro-active rather than re-active in treating our aging pets. Once a dog or cat turns 7-9 years old, they are considered a “senior”. It is in these years that most ailments present themselves, such as arthritis, metabolic changes and even cancers. This is why it’s in their best interest to keep a more regular eye on their health as they age.

Rather than focusing solely on vaccinations, regular checkups at least once yearly are important in conjunction with urine, blood testing, and other diagnostics depending on your discussions with the doctor and concerns that may arise regarding changing behaviour in your pets.
