Dr. Bryan Gelman
Owner / Veterinarian
Bryan Gelman was born and raised outside New York City. He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
Following graduation, he completed a small animal medicine and surgical internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey. For the next five years, he lived in Manhattan and worked as an emergency doctor at the Animal Medical Center, where he oversaw one of the busiest emergency rooms in the country. After meeting his wife, a native Torontonian, in New York City, they moved back to Toronto in 2014. Over the last five years, Bryan worked as a staff doctor at McGilvray Veterinary Hospital, a general practice located in North York.
Bryan lives in mid-town Toronto with his wife, young son, new baby daughter and their very energetic Labradoodle, Gus. Bryan is an avid reader of history and astronomy. When not chasing after his toddler and dog, he loves playing and watching all things sports.
Dr. Tiffany Mason
After high school, Tiffany received her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Queen’s University, and then worked on Bay Street in the marketing department of a mutual fund company. After a few exciting years downtown, she knew her true calling was to work in animal healthcare, so she went back to university where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. Becoming a veterinarian has fulfilled her childhood dream and makes “going to work” every day a true pleasure. Her veterinary interests include oral health care, geriatrics and feline medicine. When not working with the animals, Tiffany enjoys checking out live music, road tripping, reading, puzzles and hanging out with her family and friends.
Having worked at several small animal clinics around Toronto over the past 15 years, Tiffany is thrilled to be joining the amazing team at the Yonge and St. Clair Veterinary Hospital and is looking forward to meeting many new pets and their people!
Steph D., RVT
Steph joins the YSC team with over 10 years of experience in the veterinary field. Starting off as an animal care attendant in 2007, she then went on to become a Registered Veterinary Technician through Seneca College in 2011. Since graduating and working as an RVT in a few different practices in the GTA, Steph found her passion in client care. She can’t wait to greet you and your furry companion when you walk through the front door and hopes to make your visits with us as stress-free and friendly as possible – you’ll recognize her by her bright colored hair, big smile, and a handful of treats at the ready.
When not at the clinic, Steph loves to travel, and her & her husband, Erik, are avid moviegoers! In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dabbles in the arts, and is also a big fan of video games, comic books, and science fiction. At home, they have a ridiculous Border Collie mix named Ellie (short for Mozzarella!) and two very bossy cats named Ty & Oliver that run the household.
Stephanie T., RVT
Stephanie joined our team in May 2020 as an experienced RVT. She attended Seneca College where she completed the veterinary technician program in 2011. Since graduation, she has worked in multiple small animal clinics and emergency hospitals over her career and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our hospital. Stephanie has a special interest in pet nutrition and has had a passion for animals since she was very young. She currently has a chihuahua named Melba who she adopted a few years ago. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies and spending time outdoors at her cottage, and is very excited to get to know all the wonderful pets here at YSC.
Elise joined the YSC team in May 2019 following her graduation as a veterinary technician from Seneca College. Her passion and love for all animals are what drove her to become a veterinary technician and she is excited to finally be able to pursue her dream. She enjoys the one-on-one interactions with each owner and developing a unique relationship with each pet that we pride ourselves on here at YSC vet. Pictured here with Elise is Sam, a husky mix she adopted from school, who has been keeping her busy. In her spare time, Elise enjoys going on hikes with Sam, horseback riding, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family.
Jaimi joined the YSC team in January of 2020. She is a recent graduate from Western University with a major in Psychology. Jaimi’s strong interest in behaviour and love for animals led to her current position here at YSC. Pictured here with Jaimi is Cooper – an Australian Labradoodle or better known as a gentle giant. When not at the clinic, Jaimi volunteers at an animal rescue called Dog Tales, practices yoga and spends quality time with her family (specifically Cooper).
For over 30 years Joanne has worked within the veterinary field as a groomer, animal care attendant and client care representative. She is very passionate about working with animals and in her spare time she finds fulfillment in fundraising for local animal rescues. Joanne joined the YSC team in October 2020 and looks forward to getting to know all our clients and their loved ones. Joanne is pictured with one of her rescue dogs, a Shih Tzu-mix named Belinda Carlisle.
