Dr. Bryan Gelman
Owner/Veterinarian
About Dr. Gelman
Following graduation, he completed a small animal medicine and surgical internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey. For the next five years, he lived in Manhattan and worked as an emergency doctor at the Animal Medical Center, where he oversaw one of the busiest emergency rooms in the country. After meeting his wife, a native Torontonian, in New York City, they moved back to Toronto in the summer of 2014. Bryan started working as a staff doctor at a general practice located in North York but soon realized he had his own vision for practicing veterinary medicine. In May 2019, he opened Yonge & St Clair Veterinary Hospital in pursuit of this vision.
Bryan lives in mid-town Toronto with his wife, son (Carter), daughter (Juliette), and their very energetic Labradoodle, Gus. Bryan is an avid reader of history and astronomy, and when not chasing after his children and dog, he loves playing and watching all things sports.

Cyrene M.
Registered Veterinary Technician
About Cyrene
Hello, my name is Cyrene! I graduated in February 2021 from the University of Guelph with an associate diploma in veterinary technology. I originally started at YSC Vet as a volunteer, and was fortunate to join the growing and amazing YSC veterinary team soon after becoming an RVT. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada when I was 13, and have since lived in Toronto. I did a high school placement where I first met Dr. Gelman, who had been looking after my cats, Cali & Cassey, ever since. I adopted Cassey from a humane society in 2015 and recently adopted Cali from a friend. Growing up, I was surrounded by various animals such as dogs, fish, birds, and chickens and have always had a love for animals. I am thrilled to learn and experience more about veterinary medicine and see where this career path will take me. Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, kayaking, and skiing when my schedule allows with friends and family.
